Happy Birthday

Here are 3 childrens cards I made last night with the Cricut. I used the Cricut Lite Cartridge Beep Beep from WalMart. The paper and cardstock is Recollections from Michaels. I used Tim Holtz tea dyed distress ink to ink the edges of the truckand tractors. I also embossed the kraft cardstock to make the dirt with the Cuttlebug Diamond Plate folder and inked it with the tea dyed ink.

Sunflower

Recently I bought the Spellbinders Cut Fold and Tuck Flower Burst die and this is the card I come up with. The flower and cardbase were cut from Recollections cardstock. The patterned paper is Harmonie - Pluie de Feuilles. I also used Spellbinders Picot Edge Circle die to cut the green mat for the flower. I  stencilled  the petals and inked the edges of the flower with Tim Holtz tea dye ink. I cut the two smaller dies out of brown cardstock and layered them to make the center of the flower. I added some stickles to the center.

Sunflowers

This is a birthday card I made for a craft sale I was in a few weeks ago. The image is a photo I took when we lived in Nova Scotia. Both my husband and I enjoy photography. I added a sentiment and  printed it on the computer. I inked around the edges of the photo and card with Tim Holtz distress ink (tea dye) and mounted it on kraft cardstock.

Recipe Swap

I joined a recipe swap at a local scrapbooking store. I had to make an 8x8 scrapbook page featuring the recipe. The theme was summer salads. It was a challenge for me because I haven't done scrapbooking before. I knew what recipe I wanted to use but wasn't sure what to do. After two tries I decided to go with this one.  I printed the recipe on the computer. The patterned paper and all the cardstock was from Michaels. I used the cricut cartridge From My Kitchen to cut the word salad and the colander. I also used the Grand Label One to cut the green background paper for the recipe. . I enjoyed doing this and I hope to do it again.

Blessed Easter

I made these cards for some of my family. I used Spellbinders Nestabilities to cut out the oval, cross and tag. The oval and background on the gold card and the background of the purple card were all embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder. The crosses were sponged with ink using the die like a stencil. The gold cross and tag was embossed with gold embossing powder to make it stand out more. I used foam tape to mount the crosses, ovals and tags on both cards. I added some brads on the tags.  All the cardstock is from Recollections.

Note cards

I made these cards as note cards, but they all could also be used for any occasion. They make a great guys card for birthday or Fathers Day. For all the cards I used Recollection cardstock for the card base and layers. The lighthouse is a Seascapes stamp. I used cuttlebug folders to emboss top layer on all three cards. I used spellbinders nestabilities to cut the ovals for the tall ship. I inked the edges and embossed areas with Studio G ink pads from Michaels.
